Nutritionist-Approved Paleo Diet Recipes

A paleo diet is a diet which resembles a diet taken by early humans. It mainly comprises of meat, fish, vegetables, and fruits and excludes dairy, artificial sugar, legumes, cereals, and processed foods.

A paleo diet does not only help in weight loss, but is also said to reduce inflammation, increase energy levels, improve gut-health, and enhance brain power.

If you’re thinking of going on a paleo diet, but don’t know where to start from, we’re here to help you. These five paleo diet recipes would ensure you don’t have to compromise on taste in order to get healthier.
  1. Spinach and garlic stuffed omelette
Ingredients:
  • Eggs- 4
  • Spinach- 200gm
  • Garlic- 5gm
  • Salt to taste
  • Oregano- 1/2 tsp
  • Olive oil- 45ml
Method:
  • Wash the spinach several times and chop it roughly.
  • Heat oil and add the finely chopped garlic.
  • Once it turns golden, add spinach, oregano and salt.
  • Cook till the water evaporates.
  • Make a plain omelette and place this filling in the middle of the omelette.
  • Then fold one side over, then the other side and roll it out of the pan.

2. Chimichurri baked eggs

Ingredients:



  • Eggs- 6
  • Tomatoes- 20 gm
  • Processed cheese- 50 gm
  • Smoked mushroom- 50 gm
  • Smoked capsicum- 20 gm
  • Chimichurri sauce- 20 gm
  • Olive oil-20 ml
  • Salt to taste
Method:
  • Beat the eggs with a little salt and make scrambled eggs.
  • In a baking dish, mix all the ingredients and top up with cheese and bake at 200 degree C for 10 minutes or till the cheese melts

  1. Paneer and mix veg scramble

Ingredients:
  • Paneer- 100 gm
  • Onion (finely chopped)- 20 gm
  • Tomatoes (finely chopped)- 20gm
  • Mixed vegetables ( cabbage, capsicum, onion, tomato, spinach, and mushroom)- 10 gm each
  • Ginger (minced) - 10 gm
  • Mint leaves- 20 gm
  • Coriander leaves- 20 gm
  • Chaat masala, to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh/dry mix herbs- ½ tsp
  • Ghee-20 gm
Method:
  • Heat ghee and sauté the onion and tomatoes till translucent.
  • Add all other ingredients and cook further till it becomes fluffy and creamy
  • Serve.

4. Achari grilled paneer with green mash and salad

Ingredients:
  • Cottage cheese-150 gm
  • Indian pickle- 1 tsp
  • Ajwain- ½ tsp
  • Roasted cumin powder- ¼ tsp
  • Curd- 15 ml
  • Ginger garlic paste- ½ tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • GREEN MASH-
    • Mixed green leafy vegetables- 75 gm
    • Onion- 10 gm
    • Garlic- 10 gm
    • Fresh herbs- ½ tsp
    • Butter- 15 ml
Method:
  1. Marinate the cottage cheese with all given ingredients, except the oil and ajwain.
  2. Heat the oil and add the ajwain seeds, once they start crackling, add the paneer and grill it from both sides.
  3. In another pan, heat some oil, add the garlic and onion. Sauté bit and add the green vegetables.
  4. Cook for a few minutes and add the herbs. Add the seasoning.
  5. Serve the grilled paneer on the bed of green leafy vegetables.

5. Eggless whey and paneer brownie

Ingredients:
  • Paneer- 100 gm
  • Curd- 30 gm
  • Cream- 100 gm
  • Cocoa powder-10 gm
  • Chocolate whey- 1.5 scoops
  • Husk- ½ tbsp.
  • Baking powder- ½ tsp
  • Baking soda- ½ tsp
  • Water- 20ml
  • Organic jaggery powder- 1 tsp  or Maple Syrup- 1/2 tsp
Method:
  1. Whisk all the ingredients until you get a thick batter.
  2. Grease a baking tray and microwave it for 8-10 minutes.
  3. Or bake it at 180 degrees C for 15-20 minutes.
