Pooja is a passionate, driven woman, who gives any and every thing her all – whether it be her work, or trying to get her friends to give up smoking. A woman of many talents, she spent 15 years in the diamond industry with Rapaport Diamonds, helping shape policies relating to the diamond trading of various countries, until she decided to pursue her cherished passion – health and wellness. To that end, she then went on to study nutrition from Integrative Nutrition, the world’s largest school for nutrition.
Pooja mastered the art of yoga years ago – before it was ‘fashionable’, in the age where it was actually unconventional for a 15-year-old to take it up, and till date, she finds time to practice it. Deciding to combine her strong background in business development and strategy with her true calling was the eureka moment in Pooja’s life, that has given shape to what healthhunt is today. Sarah Dihmes has her Ph.D. in clinical health psychology. She comes to us from a research background at Johns Hopkins Medical System, and currently resides in San Francisco, CA.Sarah Dihmes helps clients become aware of the stress responses in their body and mind, and teaches them skills to combat the negative effects of stress through self-regulation. She specialises in the prevention and management of psychophysiological manifestations of stress, pain, and illness.
She was recently appointed as the mental health expert on the Advisory Board of the Angiogenesis Foundation. She collaborates with doctors, scientists, and policymakers using new medical treatments that either inhibit or stimulate angiogenesis, prolonging the lives of cancer patients, preventing limb amputations, reversing vision loss, and improving general health.
Born and bought up in India, Priya has been entrenched in the practice, study, and teaching of classical hatha and kriya yoga for the past 30 years. Her passion and interest in yoga encompasses the allied study of ayurveda, applied anatomy, and homeopathy. Priya is also a trained Integrative Health Coach from Duke University, NC.
With an interesting blend of Eastern roots and Western sensibilities, Priya is uniquely qualified to engage her students in a style that empowers them to take steps towards achieving personal goals. Seema Sondhi is a yoga, wellness, and holistic lifestyle guru certified by the International Sivananda Vedanta and Yoga Centre. Founder of ‘Seema Sondhi: The Yoga Studio’, she specialises in the practice of Ashtanga-Vinyasa yoga. Seema also teaches pre-and post-natal yoga for pregnant women and new mothers; as well as therapeutic yoga, catered to specific illnesses/injuries. Seema lives in New Delhi with her family, and an army of dogs.
Kaamna Bhojwani-Dhawan is a mother, entrepreneur, dancer, and ardent defender of authentic living. Pallavi Kumar is a San Francisco Bay Area based Board Certified (AADP) integrative nutrition health coach from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, and the founder of ‘Health Redux’. She is also the co-author of the Amazon bestselling #1 book The Silver Linings Storybook. Pallavi has a graduate degree in psychology from India.

Nyela Kapadia is a qualified, experienced and professional trainer with plenty of variety in her training style which is both unique and effective. She’s a certified Reebok Step Trainer, Reebok Group Trainer and Reebok Core Pilates Trainer. She’s also a licensed instructor for Doonya: The Bollywood Workout, which has been brought to the world from New York for the first time (www.doonya.com) and a licensed BOKWA instructor. Dr Syed Nazim Hussain is a renowned dermatologist with sound experience in clinical dermatology and facial aesthetics. He is an internationally trained cosmetologist specialising in Botox, fillers, and hair transplants. His client list includes Bollywood stars and other well-known personalities. He is a faculty member at LG life sciences and at Asia Pacific Allergan Medical academy. He is also a reviewer of The International Journal of Dermatology (IJD), along with being an expert in facial aesthetics and face sculpting. Dr Hussain has, in the past, been a consultant at Max Smart Super Specialty Hospital, Saket, New Delhi, and HOD, Dermatology, at Paras Hospital, Gurgaon.
Tanya believes that the best way to succeed in the future is to create it. She is the Director of the Centre for Ethical Life & Leadership (CELL), a not-for-profit CSR and sustainability advisory.
A Master of Science (MSc) in Science Communication from Australian National University (ANU), Tanya specialises in converting complex scientific and technical issues to easily understood and interesting stories that can be communicated through various media to the right audience. She has done a course in Business Ethics and Sustainability from Nyenrode Business Universiteit (University of Utrecht, Netherlands) and holds a Permaculture Design certificate that is based on creating a compound web of life and technologies to create self-sustaining systems.
Tanya is also the India representative of the EPEA (Environmental Protection and Encouragement Agency), Germany, and is affiliated with the worldwide movement – Cradle-to-Cradle, which provides a practical path for businesses to go beyond sustainability.
Tanya is also the Founder and Director of Observing I, which is successfully electrifying schools in rural Uttar Pradesh with solar energy, and distributing solar lanterns to school-going children in villages with either no electricity or with an unreliable supply.
A marketer by profession Nidhi Ramchandani is a passionate home chef-turned-health moron who is a sucker for all things fresh, natural, and healthy. Right from sourcing the ingredients to growing micro-greens and fermenting some foods, her forte is to make the most of what’s available in her kitchen! Known for having dinner at 8:00 p.m., cooked fresh and served in style, Nidhi’s tag—“Mumbai_health_moron”—has dedicated followers for daily feeds and tips on easy healthy living.
With the motto “You are what you feed your mind, body, and soul”, her personal health journey started with fixing her allergy issues by monitoring her food, exercise regime, and moving to grandma’s school of thought of “all things natural”.
Next up her sleeve is the Garage Demo-Kitchen Project where she aims to bring together more health junkies to cook, learn, eat, and teach as a community.
Dr Shagun Sarabhai Ajmera is a woman of many talents. A doctor by profession (B.H.M.S) from CMP Homeopathic Medical College and having completed an advance course in classical homeopathy conducted by Dr George Vithoulkas (Greece) Dr Shagun has been practising medicine in Mumbai for several years now.
To add to her achievements, she was crowned Miss India Worldwide in South Africa in 2008.
After this tremendous success, she was an anchor in Zoom TV and Zing (by Zee) and had collaborated with Revlon, Canon, and Kingfisher for advertisements. She had even walked the ramp for Deepika Gehani, Salvatore Ferragamo, and Azeem Khan, all the while juggling her medical career.
For Dr Shagun health is not a goal that can be achieved in one day; it’s a constant process of being healthy which is achieved by being positive, including 30 minutes of physical exertion in the daily routine, and eating right. A believer of staying natural, she has not popped a single pill in the last 30 years, not even a Crocin!
Akshar, popularly called Grandmaster Akshar, is the founder of Akshar Yoga. He is noted amongst the leading yoga practitioners of the world; he travels extensively, learning and spreading the art of yoga. Akshar has been associated with yoga since his early childhood, and has been practicing since the last 21 years. Today, at Akshar Yoga, Grandmaster Akshar and his team train more than 250,000 students all over the world, via both online and offline platforms. Grandmaster Akshar now has 14 schools in the country under the Akshar Power Yoga banner.
An MA in Sociology of Health Care from Warwick University, UK, Anjali was interested in reiki healing since a long time. Even her final dissertation was on the acceptance of reiki as a complementary therapy for cure.
Coming from a household of doctors and having a spiritual bent of mind (she now understands that the material and the spiritual are just two ends of the same continuum), she tried her hand at reiki, theta, and aura healing, and was smitten! Currently, Anjali is into a modality called Serenity Surrender, which emphasises healing of the self (soul).
Taran Gehlot was born in Kenya, and is a passionate wildlife photographer. Having graduated from Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne in 2008, she then worked in various hotels and safari lodges around the world, and through this, Taran discovered her love for wildlife, conservation, breath-taking landscapes, and unspoiled nature. Photography for Taran is not about what she sees, rather it’s about the way she sees things and how she allows herself to explore the wonders of the world! Whenever she picks up her camera, it gives her the capacity to be in the moment and be mindful of what is around her, almost like being in a peaceful meditative state, making her feel at one with her surroundings. When Taran isn’t attached to her camera, she works with teachers and children to improve the traditional school life, loves to cook, and experience new adventures!
Pinky is a counselling psychologist and has been working as a consultant with Phoenix Hospital, New Delhi, since the last fourteen years. She has a post graduate degree in Counselling Psychology. Her areas of expertise include diagnosing and helping people with depression, anxiety disorders, emotional problems, personality problems, lack of confidence, marital relationship issues, developing social skills, and parenting guidelines.
Pinky is also qualified in the use of hypnotherapy for personal problems arising from traumas buried in a person’s subconscious mind. She uses hypnotherapy also for removing fear, building self-esteem, seeking ways out of sexual problems, and various other problematic behaviours.
Pinky has recently written a book on parenting.
Dimple Mukherjee is a women’s coach, speaker, and contributing author of Women Rising (Vol. 3). She combines 20 plus years of experience as an occupational therapist with integrative health coaching and positive psychology certifications to help women harness the healing and transformative power of female connections for personal growth. After a decade of struggles and ultimately some rock-bottom moments, Dimple realised that shame had held her back from liberation. Through connection, compassion, and courage, she developed Shame Resilience, her most powerful tool. From this knowing, Dimple created Bindi Parlour, a safe space for women to embrace themselves and to create positive shifts in their lives through conversations and soul play.
Dimple’s highest truth is that women need a tribe to lead the world.
When she is not helping women ignite their inner spark, Dimple loves to travel all over the world, dances to Bollywood music, is on a constant path of self-learning, volunteers her time with Everyday Child, parents teenagers (a full time gig and then some), and is busy dreaming up a way of purchasing that beach home in the Caribbean.
