For a start, it is safe and eco-friendly. It is also full-fat, which has been proven to be better for weight management and diabetes than low-fat milk.
Milk is one of the most important components in our daily diet, and it is a healthy source of calcium, protein, good fats, carbohydrates, and other essential nutrients. However, conventional dairies, in an attempt to increase milk production and get higher revenues, either use loads of steroids/hormones to increase the production of milk from cows and add ingredients that increase the quantity of milk. These adulterants and chemicals include pesticides and fertilisers for growing cheaper fodder at a faster rate, and hormones and antibiotics to increase milk production in cows. Some dairies also use additives to make artificial milk and mix it with natural milk in order to increase their margins. These chemicals are extremely hazardous and can have serious, long-lasting, and detrimental impacts on the health of children and adults.
While water is a very common adulterant, the problem for dairies is that people can make out its presence easily in the milk. To avoid getting caught, various dairies add certain substances to watered milk, which make the milk look thick, make it taste better, and improve its density and viscosity. These hazardous adulterants are urea, sodium chloride, starch, neutralisers, glucose, hydrogen peroxide, and even detergents! This is the reason why more and more health-conscious people are now opting for organic milk. Drinking organic milk has countless health benefits. For a start, it is safe and eco-friendly. It is also full-fat, which has been proven to be better for weight management and diabetes than low-fat milk. The health benefits include good amounts of omega-3 fatty acids, conjugated linoleic acid, antioxidants, and a wide range of vitamins.
Organic milk has a higher percentage of omega-3 fatty acids than non-organic milk. Omega-3 is extremely important for optimal functioning of various body processes. Regular intake of foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids is linked to protection from various diseases such as reduced incidence of heart disease, inflammatory skin diseases, arthritis, and cancer. Studies have shown that organic milk has 70 per cent additional omega-3s than what is found in conventional milk. The reason for this is that cows that produce organic milk are pasture-grazed, and are fed a higher quantity of fresh, green, natural grass than conventional cows. Also, the omega-3 to omega-6 ratio is higher in organic milk. This ratio is extremely important in preventing heart diseases.
Conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) boosts the metabolic rate of the body. It also enhances muscle growth, improves immunity, and helps the body in fighting disease better. It is known to help in cutting down abdominal fat and cholesterol levels. It also plays a role in preventing allergic responses. Our bodies cannot produce CLA, and most of it comes from the milk that we take in our diet. Here’s a surprising fact – cows that are pasture-grazed produce up to 500 per cent more CLA in their milk, than cows which are fed fodder.
Since cows that produce organic milk graze on lush green pastures that are pesticide and chemical free, the milk is absolutely free from any harmful chemicals. So this milk is free from hormones, antibiotics, pesticides, urea, growth hormones, and oxytocin.
By having organic milk, you are helping the environment, since you are having it from cows that graze on pesticide-free and chemical-free pastures. The harmful pesticides that are used in non-organic milk have been shown to wipe out countless species of birds, insects, and butterflies. In a study, it was estimated that around 672 million birds get impacted by the large amount of pesticides used in farms in the US, out of which, 10per cent die, as a result of pesticide-related diseases.
You may not know it, but organic milk is 2-3 times richer in the concentration of antioxidants like lutein and zeaxanthin than conventional milk. Lutein promotes eye health, and helps prevent numerous eye diseases. Zeaxanthin is also extremely beneficial for eye health. It protects the eyes from UV damage and the harmful effects of free radicals. It also plays a key role in preventing cataracts, macular degeneration, glaucoma, and diabetic retinopathy.
Organic milk is a very rich source of beta-carotene and vitamin E. Since cows that produce organic milk graze on fresh, green grass, the milk produced by them is about 75 per cent higher beta-carotene and 50 per cent higher in vitamin E. Vitamin E helps your body fight the damage caused by free radicals and delays ageing. It also plays a role in lowering the incidence of chronic health conditions like diabetes, heart ailments, and cataracts. Beta-carotene is the precursor of vitamin A, which means that in the body, it gets converted into vitamin A. Vitamin A helps in maintaining healthy eyesight, improves your resistance to infections, and boosts skin health and bone health.
One such organic farm in Delhi-NCR that has been tirelessly fighting for the cause of providing safe, chemical-free, and organic milk is 4S Foods. 4S Foods abides by ‘preservative-free’ milk and other dairy products. They realise that good health begins with superior nutrition. When there is a lot in life to achieve and little to cherish, being careless with nutrition can be the last straw. 4S farm fresh milk works like a nutrient fill that reduces the health gap created by an unwholesome lifestyle and consumption of adulterated products. A glass of 4S Milk works like an elixir for ensuring overall fitness. The natural sweetness of the milk helps cut down on sugar intake, adding to your health quotient. For the kids, 4S Milk is a bottle full of delicious nourishment. We asked the founder of 4S Foods, Gajjendar Singh Yadav, a few questions about the brand. This is what he had to say:
I have grown up with my grandfather in the Army. At my hometown, coming from an agricultural family, I always had good quality and clean food, and have seen the farming sector closely. Post my schooling and graduation, I joined SRCC for my Masters, and stayed with my aunt in Delhi. Within a few days, I figured out that the quality of food here was not good, because for me, food should communicate with the consumer. Good food always speaks, and whatever we were getting at home was not real food. I decided to start something to do with clean food and had 3 options – fresh veggies, dairy, or poultry, and I chose dairy. I started 4S Foods in 2013. The main idea, with this company, is to provide clean dairy products to consumers, and revolutionise the dairy sector. We are disrupting the traditional dairy cycle of ‘farm gate pricing model’ and practicing modern, clean dairy farming.
Our milk and other products are free from chemicals, pesticides, preservatives, adulterants, artificial-growth hormones, formalin, oxytocin etc. These are widely present in the conventional dairy sector.
Here is a look at some warm stories that customers shared about 4S Foods:
Hi! My family and I have been consuming milk from 4S Foods since the last some months now. The taste of the milk is so different from packaged milk, that one instantly feels the freshness and purity associated with it.
Second, the delivery system and prompt answers to any queries by Gajjendra, makes it stand out from other organic milk suppliers. I am quite keen on visiting the farm one day! Keep up the good work!

It’s been only half a month that I switched to 4S Milk on the recommendation of my family doctor, for the kids. The consistency of this milk is so good that it tastes like a shake, and I mean it. On weekends after yoga, I drink 1 litre direct from the bottle, without the need of adding any sugar. My kids are enjoying it with or without adding flavours. Expect to have the quality maintained this way…good job Gajjender Ji!!

When we relocated to Delhi last year, we were having a very hard time finding farm-fresh, organic milk. Then, we came across 4S Milk and became subscribers. Our experience has been very good so far, both in terms of the quality of milk and on-time doorstep delivery. I also got an opportunity to visit their farm. It is located amidst lush green fields and they grow their own fodder organically. Apart from the good care that they take of their cows, I was also very impressed with the state of the art equipment for bottle washing/sanitising, milk chilling, and bottling. Healthy, wholesome milk, straight from the farm!

I have a 2-year-old baby, and am always very particular about what kind of food products I give her. I have been using 4S Milk since a few months now, and I am so happy with this product. Fresh, organic, and pure. It is exactly like the milk I have grown up with, which came from our own home cows. The delivery system is very good, and any queries are answered immediately. There has never been any delay in delivery. The best milk you can get in Delhi, right to your doorstep. Congratulations, Gajjender, on the purest milk I have had in India!!!
